Android Oreo was officially launched way back in August. Since then, many OEMs have started beta testing latest Android OS on their devices and some of them have also rolled out the stable update. And today once again Xiaomi joins the beta testing squad for their second device Mi Mix 2. To recall, Xiaomi is already beta testing Android Oreo for Mi A1, their first Android One smartphone.
If you own a Mi Mix 2 and interested in experiencing Android Oreo before most other users, you can apply for a beta tester which is currently open now. All you have to do is have MIUI Community app installed on your phone which can be downloaded from the Play Store. Then, visit this link and fill the credentials which are required. Xiaomi also says that if you are not contacted within 48 hours, then you are not selected.
Xiaomi unwrapped the Mi Mix 2 one day ahead of Apple iphone X event in September. The Mix 2 is smaller than its predecessor. Also, it has lesser body to ratio due to more bezels at the top than the original Mi Mix. But, it comes with improved camera, however no dual camera setup like Mi 6. And it is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor like any other flagship this year.
