Software giant, Microsoft will soon bring its Edge browser for devices running on Android and iOS platforms. Microsoft even started a beta program for some specific users to test the browser.

In case if you don’t know, Microsoft introduced Edge browser in Windows 10 operating system for desktops and laptops. Edge is successor of Microsoft’s Internet Explorer (IE). Compared to Internet Explorer, Edge offers plenty of features, modern Metro powered UI and faster loading time. Microsoft Edge for Android and iOS is nothing but a lightweight version, designed specifically for mobile devices. Edge for Android will use Chrome’s Blink engine and Edge for iOS will use Apple Safari’s WebKit engine.

Microsoft says Edge for Android and iOS will sync all bookmarks, favorites, history and reading list between your device and Windows 10 PC. The browser will come with reading mode which will eliminate the links, ads and unnecessary design elements from the webpage so that user can focus on text only. There is also a send button which will instantaneously open the webpage you are looking at on your Windows 10 device.

Microsoft Edge for Android and iOS is not available for all the users. You can try beta version of Edge if you are using an Insider build of Windows 10 on your PC.
