Xiaomi has earlier revealed its MIUI 9.5 update based on the Android Oreo. It has been already released for a number of smartphones including Xiaomi Redmi 3S/3S Prime, Mi Max 2 and the Mi 5X handset. Now some new information is coming from the house of Xiaomi. According to them, this fresh update is now rolling out for some more handsets. So let’s check out that what new feature this update brings to devices.
As per the Xiaomi provided roadmap this update is rolling out on the devices including Redmi 4(Redmi 4X), Redmi 5, Redmi 5 Plus and the Redmi Note 5. In recent, the MIUI 9.5 firmware for Redmi Note 5 Pro was leaked and the interesting fact is that it comes based on the latest Android 8.1 Oreo. Unfortunately for the devices mentioned above the update is arriving with the Android version Nougat which is hard to digest for a user. The update packs all new features offered by MIUI 9.5 but will run on the Android 7.1 Nougat.
Xiaomi has always been condemned when it comes to software updates. And this time as well the users were expecting the Android Oreo-based update to arrive. Xiaomi has to work on their software development department as they are delaying updates for ages now. The software version for Redmi 4(Redmi 4X) is V188.8.131.52.NAMMIFA(MIUI 9), for Redmi 5 is V184.108.40.206.NDAMIFA(MIUI 9) whereas for Redmi 5 Plus/Redmi Note 5 it is received with the version V220.127.116.11.NEGMIFA(MIUI 9). The updates are arriving as an OTA so there is no scope for manual installation.
