Motorola is known to offer some best-in-class features with its Moto G series in the mid-range segment. Lenovo-owned company recently announced the next generation Moto G5S and G5S Plus on August 1. The smartphones have now been launched in the Indian market with a price tag of Rs. 13,999 and Rs. 15,999 respectively. Both smartphones will be exclusively available on Amazon India and the sale starts tonight at 11.59PM.
Moto G5S and Moto G5S Plus are the successors to Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus and come with improved camera features. While Moto G5S comes in Lunar Gray and Fine Gold color variants, Moto G5S Plus is available in Lunar Gray and Blush Gold colors.
Moto G5S
Moto GFS features a 5.2-inch Full HD display with a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and is protected Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The handset is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of on-board storage, which is further expandable up to 128GB using a microSD card. It also houses a fingerprint sensor placed at the bottom of the display.
The smartphone boasts a 16-megapixel primary camera with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash. The front camera is a 5-megapixel wide-angle selfie shooter with LED flash. The device packs a 3,000mAh battery and runs on Android 7.1 Nougat.
Moto G5S Plus
Moto G5S Plus sports a 5.5-inch Full HD display with a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by Qualcomm’s mid-range Snapdragon 625 chipset clocked at 2.0 GHz with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card. Just like Moto G5S, it also houses a fingerprint sensor at the bottom of the display.
The main highlight of Moto G5S Plus is the presence of dual-camera sensors at the back. The smartphone has two 13-megapixel sensors (RGB + monochrome) with with f/2.0 aperture. The dual cameras are capable of capturing Bokeh, selective focus shots and replace background mode. The smartphone comes with an 8-megapixel wide-angle selfie camera with LED flash. It is also backed by a 3000mAh battery with Turbo charge technology. The device runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box.
