A few days back Motorola India has posted an image on Twitter tipping the launch of two new Motorola devices. Finally, the brand has unveiled Moto G6 and Moto G6 Play smartphone for the Indian market at an event in Delhi. The two devices are the successor to the last year’s Moto G5-series handsets. All details surrounding the smartphones including price, availability, and specifications are out now so without making any delay let’s get to the facts.
Motorola Moto G6
Moto G6 is the superior of the two and comes powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 Octa-Core processor coupled with an Adreno 506 GPU. The device will be made available in two variants: 3GB RAM+32GB ROM and 4GB RAM+64GB ROM, luckily both variants support expandable storage via micro-SD card. The handset runs on Android 8.0 Oreo and can support Dual SIM+SD-card simultaneously.
In the front there is a 5.7(inch) Full HD+ IPS Screen with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels, 18:9 aspect ratio and the protection of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 is present. In terms of Camera, it houses a Dual-rear 12MP+5MP snapper with PDAF, LED Flash, Aperture f/1.8 whereas in the front a 16MP selfie shooter with Aperture f/2.0, LED Flash is provided. The Fingerprint Scanner is present below the display, however, the shape has been changed. For additional protection, it has nano-coating which will protect the device from accidental water splashes and dust.
It runs on a 3000mAh battery which supports Moto Turbo Charge and finally, Moto has provided a Type-C port. The device will only available in Black color for a price of 13,999 INR for 3GB RAM+32GB ROM version and 15,999 INR for 4GB RAM+64GB ROM.
Motorola Moto G6 Play
It runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 Quad-Core processor coupled with an Adreno 505 GPU. It is available in only one variant i-e 3GB RAM+32GB ROM, the device supports expandable storage via micro-SD card. Moto G6 Play runs Android 8.0 Oreo and is a Dual-SIM device. In the front, a 5.7(inch) HD+ IPS Display can be seen with a resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels, 18:9 aspect ratio. The Fingerprint Scanner on this is embedded in the rear placed Moto logo.
In the rear, it houses a 13MP single Camera with LED Flash, Aperture f/2.0 and PDAF while in the front an 8MP selfie camera with LED Flash is given. It runs on a Gigantic 4000mAh battery with Turbo Charge. It will be made available in Gold and Black color for a price of 11,999 INR.
