HMD Global has made its new device under the X-Series official in China. The Nokia X7, which should also be known as Nokia 7.1 Plus globally, is up for pre-order starting from today but will take a week or so to get it shipped.
The Nokia X7 packs improved specs compared to Nokia X6 – the previous device under the X line-up. Powering the device is the Qualcomm’s latest mid-range SoC based on the 10nm process, the Snapdragon 710. The Mobile Platform should offer better efficiency and flagship like performance.
Nokia X7 Specifications
Coming to other noteworthy specs, Nokia X7 flaunts a 6.18-inch display with FHD+ resolution. Certified as a PureDisplay which was debuted on the Nokia 7, it features SDR to HDR video conversion in real time. The device comes with three storage options: 4/64GB, 6/64GB and 6/128GB. It will run the Android 8.1 Oreo on-board. A major OS upgrade to the latest Android 9.0 Pie should be on the card for the device.
For photography, Nokia X7 has the renowned Carl-Zeiss branded optical sensors. The dual-camera setup comprises of 12MP+13MP combo sourced from Sony. At its front on the notch, sits a 20MP selfie shooter. Thanks to the native AI prowess of the SD 710, the front cam should be able to capture some AI bokeh stills and authenticate the user with the AI face recognition.
Nokia X7 Availability And Pricing
The Nokia X7 pre-ordering can be done via JD.com which has been an official online retailer of Nokia devices in China since a while. The base model with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal is priced at CNY 1,700 (USD 245). Well, reasonably priced given that the processor it has at its heart is the mighty Snapdragon 710. The 6GB/64GB is at CNY 2,000 (290), while the higher option with 6GB RAM and 128GB can be availed at CNY 2,500.
