Samsung seemed to be getting back on track after the blow they suffered due to exploding Note 7 batteries. Replacement units had started arriving in various countries and sales were about to resume in others and we have a new controversy arising from Samsung’s homeland South Korea. According to a report in Wall Street Journal, the Note 7 replacement units that were given to customers in South Korea have battery draining and overheating issues.
This issue has yet not been reported anywhere outside of South Korea and it could be possible that this is infact not an issue at all. The customers who have received their replacement units could just be paranoid about the devices and battery draining and overheating are not that rare of issues to face.
Samsung claims the issues have nothing to do with the batteries and that it will look into the matter.
