Official TWRP recovery extends support for Galaxy A3 Duos, Lenovo K53, Asus Zenfone 4 Max and more

TWRP has added support for 6 more new devices in its ever expanding TWRP supported devices list. The new entrants includes: Galaxy A3 Duos, BQ Aquarius U2, BQ Aquaris V, Asus Zenfone 4 Max, LG G4c and Lenovo K53.

In fact, most of the aforementioned devices already have unofficial TWRP recovery available. However, they are bugs-prone as well as not update guaranteed. And now, with the official support being granted by TWRP team to these devices, users can now download the custom recovery from either official TWRP website or TWRP official app.

For easiness, we’re sharing the download links of the newly added devices over here.

Both recovery image(.img) and fastboot flashable file(.tar) are available for download.

Note: TWRP images are specific to each device. Downloading an image for a different device, no matter how similar, usually does not work.

1. TWRP for Samsung Galaxy A3 Duos – A300H(a33g)

The device is getting TWRP support after a long 3 years after its launch in 2015.

The above TWRP works only in A300H(3G variant) model of Galaxy A3. So, other A3 model users have to go for their device specific TWRP recovery.

2. TWRP for BQ Aquaris V (nappa)

3. TWRP for Asus ZenFone 4 Max

DM-Verity: Make sure DM-Verity checksum is disabled on the device. If not, swiping to allow system modifications will prevent you from being able to boot if you’re using the stock kernel.

4. TWRP for LG G4c(c90)

5. TWRP for Lenovo K53

DM-Verity: Make sure DM-Verity checksum is disabled on the device. If not, swiping to allow system modifications will prevent you from being able to boot if you’re using the stock kernel.

6. TWRP for BQ Aquaris U2 (yamcha)

You may also download the recoveries from TWRP official app available on Play Store.
