Well, now it’s official that Moto G4 Plus will get the new Android 8.0 Oreo update. But one thing that has to be kept in mind is that Moto G4 won’t be getting it. It’s only Moto G4 Plus till now according to our reports.

There is a news worldwide, that Motorola won’t be giving any Oreo update for G4 as well as G4 Plus. Now, company has apologized too for the error and has promised to give Orea tp Moto G4 Plus devices. Motorola is going to fulfill it’s promise of sending the Android O update to the Plus variant. For Moto G4 we need to wait for a statement, though for now Moto G4 isn’t going to get the Oreo update.

Here is the official statement:

It’s been brought to our attention that there were some errors in our marketing materials around Android O upgrades for Moto G4 Plus. This was an oversight on our part and we apologize for this miscommunication. It’s our general practice for the Moto G family to get one major OS upgrade per device, but it’s important to us we keep our promises, so in addition to the N upgrade it has already received, we will be upgrading Moto G4 Plus to Android O. Because this is an unplanned upgrade, it will take some time to fit it into our upgrade schedule. Watch our  software upgrade page for more information.

The above statement is official from Motorola team to Moto G4 Plus users all around the world. The proud owners of the G4 Plus can cheer up as they are going to ge the Android Oreo on their devices.
