A long time ago in 2016, OnePlus has introduced its OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T smartphones. It’s worth mentioning here that OnePlus is among the few brands who provide timely updates even for the old devices. A few weeks back a new update for the OnePlus 3/3T was terminated, however, we’ve just got some good news for the device users. If you are still using the following devices then just stick to the couch and go through this write-up.

The users who have signed for the OnePlus’s OxygenOS Beta Program are reporting some good news. According to them, their devices are getting a new update which brings a bunch of new features to the devices. To be straightforward the update is available in the Beta phase for OnePlus 3/3T devices. Sadly the update doesn’t bump up the Android version to 8.1 Oreo, however, some new and helpful features can be witnessed after this upgrade.

They are available as OxygenOS Beta 30 and OxygenOS Beta 39 for the OnePlus 3T. The update brings refined search tags, optimized camera switching, improved app list for hidden space and toolbox, added: “new installs” category tag in the app drawer, added capability to scrub /seek through AAC audio file timeline, etc. As promised by OnePlus, 12 months of major updates and 18 months of security updates were confirmed by the brand. As the testing phase will get completed, OnePlus will release it officially for all the OnePlus 3/3T units. No specific date for the update has been confirmed, for more Tech updates stay tuned to GoAndroid.
