Smartphone OEMs moving their system apps to the Play Store is a very nice thing. It helps in getting fast updates to apps. Consider it a modular version of full system updates. If implemented properly, it would completely change the Android update landscape.
So, here we have OnePlus, listing its Weather app on the Play Store much like HTC, Asus, and Samsung and many more. The app itself is pretty straightforward. It has minimalist looks and good animations. It can send weather alerts as well. Like many other apps, you can add multiple cities easily. And share your weather updates on social media platforms.
OnePlus has partnered with Accu weather to make sure data is to the point. And listing it on the Play Store will only give it more exposure. You will require a OnePlus device to get the app though. We would have wanted it to be open for all phones.
