Oppo has earlier introduced its A83 handset in India and other markets and recently they have made an addition to A-series devices by announcing the Oppo A83 (2018) handset. The device packs minor improvements over the old handset. Pakistan will be the debut market for this device, including Pakistan the device is retailing in three countries. Oppo A83 (2018) is a Dual-SIM handset and is compatible with the 4G connectivity. Under the hood, it possesses a MediaTek Helio P23(MT6763T) Octa-Core processor clocked at 2.5Ghz coupled with mammoth 4GB of RAM and a Mali-G71 MP2 GPU for gaming. Helio P23 is an efficient chipset and is not primarily focused on performance. The device comes with 64GB’s of internal storage expandable up to 256GB’s via micro-SD card.
In the front it packs a 5.7(inch) HD+ IPS Screen with a resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels, fortunately, the display is an 18:9 ratio one. In the Camera department, there is a 13MP single rear snapper with PDAF, LED Flash whereas in the front an 8MP selfie shooter is present. The device runs on Oppo’s ColorOS based on Android 7.1 Nougat, the device is expected to receive the Android Oreo update soon. Keeping the device working is a 3180mAh battery.
