Oppo has finally introduced R15 and R15 Dream Edition smartphones in China. Initially, the smartphones were expected to be launched on March 12 but have been delayed due to some reasons. Better late than never, both smartphones are now official. The devices are already available for pre-orders and will go live for sale in China starting April 1.
Talking about the detailed specs, both devices are quite identical in several aspects. However, they do vary in other segments. First, let us walk through the identical specs that both smartphones share with each other.
Oppo R15 and R15 Dream Edition feature notched 6.28-inch FHD+ OLED display with a resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels. Both smartphones pack 6GB of RAM with 128GB of storage capacity. While its quite common these days, both smartphones come with dual cameras on the back. Both devices carry a rear-facing fingerprint scanner and come with Android 8.1 Oreo (with OPPO’s ColorOS 5.0 skin) out of the box.
Oppo R15 is powered by Helio P20 64-bit octa-core processor while the OPPO R15 Dream Mirror Edition comes with Snapdragon 660 64-bit octa-core SoC. Oppo R15 packs a 3,450 mAh powerful battery under its hood, the Oppo R15 Dream Edition falls a bit short with a 3,400 mAh battery. In the camera segment, Oppo R15 houses dual camera with 16MP (f/1.7 aperture) and 5MP (f/2.2 aperture) at the back and Oppo R15 Dream Edition flaunts a 16MP (f/1.7 aperture) and 20-megapixel (f/1.7 aperture). A 20MP front camera on both smartphones gives you an amazing selfie experience.
OPPO R15 comes with Snow White, Hot Red, and Star Purple color variants and is priced at 2,999 Yuan ($473). OPPO R15 Dream Mirror Edition (Glass Variant) comes in Red color only, and is priced at 3,299 Yuan ($520), while the Ceramic Variant is available in black color only and carry a price tag of 3,499 Yuan ($552).
