Here’s the final decision in Google -Oracle Patent case and fibal verdict is that Google didnot infringe Oracle Patents in the second phase of an intellectual-property trial in San Francisco. Mow there is no need to enter 3rd phase as Oracle won nothing in the copyright phase and patent phase. Google says in its statement that:
“Today’s jury verdict that Android does not infringe Oracle’s patents was a victory not just for Google but the entire Android ecosystem.”
Oracle also released its statement:
“Oracle presented overwhelming evidence at trial that Google knew it would fragment and damage Java. We plan to continue to defend and uphold Java’s core write once run anywhere principle and ensure it is protected for the nine million Java developers and the community that depend on Java compatibility.”
According to verdict now denied Oracle the ability to seek as much as $1 billion in damages from the Google.
