Original Galaxy A8 (2015) likely to receive Android 7.0 Nougat

The first ever Galaxy A8 has a high chance of getting Android 7.0 Nougat, we have just learned. The handset launched in 2015 as a new series was seen on Wi-Fi Alliance with the fresh Android 7.0 Nougat version. Of course, this does not guarantee a jump to Nougat for the device but it has pretty good odds. That is because usually devices that get listed on Wi-Fi Alliance with a new OS version pretty much end up with it. Wouldn’t that be great? A 2016 device getting Nougat.

Well, if you look at the facts, the first ever Galaxy A8 shipped with Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box. So, theoretically, it should get two updates. Hence, that means the device getting Android Nougat is not a surprise at all. Samsung has already pushed a Marshmallow update to the phone last year.

Similarly in 2016, the Samsung has launched a new version of the device with upgraded hardware. Now it is also expected that we will also get the new device with some significant changes.

What do you guys think? Do any of you have the Galaxy A8? How did the Android Marshmallow update perform on the device? let us know in the comments below.
