OxygenOS 5.0.3 Open Beta is now Available for OnePlus 3/3T, Brings Face Unlock and more

The update comes as OxygenOS 5.0.3 for the two devices. Although this update is revealed in the form of an Open Beta and is not yet rolled out as the official OTA update. Which further means a user can install it manually but installing the update automatically is not possible at present. Additionally, it brings May security patch which will protect the device from various vulnerabilities. This update brings refined Shelf UI design, new app shortcuts design, displays more options when long pressed, etc.

In Photos Gallery the update brings Map view of photos by location, added “Recently Deleted” folder. The file manager now displays a new category called “Large Files” along with Apps, zip, photos, etc. It also brings several improvements in the weather department: Better positioning services, new widget added to the launcher, etc. Oxygen OS 5.0.3 will only arrive as an OTA to the users who have already signed as Beta tester.
