OxygenOS 9.0.5 for OnePlus 5/5T brings April security patch and bug fixes

OnePlus is well-known to roll out software updates in a timely manner to all its eligible devices. OnePlus has just started rolling out OxygenOS 9.0.5 to OnePlus 5/5T that brings April security patch and addresses several bugs. Just a few days ago, the company pushed OxygenOS 9.0.13 for the OnePlus 6T and OxygenOS 9.0.5 for OnePlus 6 that updated the smartphones with March security patch.

With this update, OnePlus 5/5T are on the April security patch while the OnePlus 6/6T are still on March. It is to note that OxygenOS 9.0.5 brings an incremental update and doesn’t include any major changes. The changelog includes:

  • System
    • Updated Android security patch to 2019.4
  • Phone
    • Improved stability for the Phone app
  • Parallel Apps
    • Fixed issue with parallel apps showing primary account
    • Fixed issues with download pictures in parallel WhatsApp
  • Gaming mode
    • Fixed couldn’t receive third-party apps video call issues

Just like other software updates, this update will also be rolled out in different phases and may take quite sometime to reach all the users globally. It is advisable to connect your OnePlus device to a reliable WiFi connection before downloading and installing the update. You should also charge your phone to at least 60 percent for the update to install smoothly.
