Sony Xperia E4g Dual LTE Smartphone Launched In India

Sony has launched its Xperia E4g Dual, a LTE enabled device in India for the price of ₹13,290. The Sony Xperia E4g and Xperia E4g Dual were launched in February ahead of MWC.

Sony Xperia E4g Dual packs with faster SoC (System on Chip) 1.5GHz MediaTek quad-core processor and 4G network connectivity feature, whereas the latter comes shipped with 1.3GHz quad-core Mediatek chipset and 3G network support.

Sony Xperia E4g Dual comes with a 4.7-inch qHD (540×960 pixels) display. As the name suggests, it features dual-SIM support. It is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6732 processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. In connectivity it includes Bluetooth 4.1, WiFi, WiFi Hotspot, micro USB 2.0 port, 3.5 mm jack, and A-GPS. Xperia E4g Dual sports a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash while there is a 2-megapixel front-facing camera also on board.

Sony Xperia E4g Dual has been launched in India for Rs 13,290 and it is going to be available in the black color only.

Samsung Estimates 70 Million Sales Of Galaxy S6 And S6 Edge

Samsung’s flagship devices Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge are now available in most of the countries and Samsung has ignited their sales expectations. Samsung is expecting 70 Million sales of both the flagships.

Earlier, industry watchers predicted 50 Million sales of both the devices but now after checking up the sales, Samsung has estimated around 70 Million sales by the end of this year. An unnamed executive to Korea Times said that, “The Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge are drawing positive responses. I have no doubt that they will be the biggest-sellers in the Galaxy series ever,” with the exec going on to state they estimate sales will be in the “70 million plus” range.

Currently, we can’t say anything about whether Samsung will pass that target or not, from initial sales we can expect that the precidictions can be met by the year’s end.

Google Changes Mobile View Of Search Results

In another update to Google Search, company has shrinked the long urls into structured sitelinks. Now you will not be able to see that long url of sites beneath the title of search results in the Google Search. There’s no change in any algorithm but Google has specially changed the view in order to end the clutter.

Here’s what Google is saying about this new change:

Well-structured URLs offer users a quick hint about the page topic and how the page fits within the website. To help mobile searchers understand your website better when we show it in the mobile search results, today we’re updating the algorithms that display URLs in the search results to better reflect the names of websites, using the real-world name of the site instead of the domain name, and the URL structure of the sites in a breadcrumbs-like format.

Changes are rolling out to the Search Engine and will gradually up to all the users.

Verizon LG G3 Getting Android Lollipop

Verizon is sending out OTA package of Android Lollipop for LG G3 and it is now rolling out to all the users of the device. Currently, only partial users have started to receive via Verizon software upgrade tool the update but on the website it shows an over-the-air release of the update is coming.

There are many new features that are packed in the Android 5.0.1 update of the LG G3. It includes all the luxuries like Google’s Material Design, enhanced notification handling, smart lock and much more of the Android 5.0 Lollipop.

The OTA update still to start and it will weigh more than 700 megabytes.

We all know, LG is going to unveil its latest flagship, LG G4 on April 28th. Latest spell of the images came from LG G4 Korean Microsoft.

A Google Plus user Pedro Peguero Jr. (Valiant Pixels) first spotted the micro site, which now has been taken down. The images leaked can be said the best ones to showcase the LG G4 and what we can expect from the it. There are total of 45 images that are depicted over the source site.

The images showcase the every aspect of the device from its top to bottom and from camera to its design. Have look at the images below with its 6 different back panels – Black, Brown, Maroon, Blue, Gold, and Yellow that will make you lure for it.

Additionally, LG G4 include a 5.5-inch, quad HD screen, a replaceable 3,000mAh battery, and a microSD card slot.

Google Cooking Up Something For Future Battery Tech

Google is working hard inside their laboratories to improve the future tech and innovate it to the extent from where we can make it more efficient. The latest report coming out reveals that Google X lab is researching more on lithium ion batteries to make them last longer.

According to reports, Google has at least 20 battery-dependent projects. Google has recently moved into industries such as transportation, health care, robotics and communications, designing physical devices that require efficient batteries and in CEO Larry Page’s view, battery life for mobile devices is a ‘huge issue’ with ‘real potential to invent new and better experiences.’

As per The Wall Street Journal reports:

In late 2012, a team led by former Apple Inc. battery expert Dr. Ramesh Bhardwaj began testing batteries developed by others for use in Google devices. About a year later, the group expanded to look at battery technologies that Google might develop itself, according to people familiar with the matter.

At Google, Dr. Bhardwaj’s group is trying to advance current lithium-ion technology and the cutting-edge solid-state batteries for consumer devices, such as Glass and Google’s glucose-measuring contact lens, according to the people familiar with the matter.

Not only Google is googling about the batteries even other companies like Tesla, Apple and IBM are also dedicating research for this purpose.

Nexus 7 is Getting Android 5.1 Lollipop Update, and Nexus 5 Got It Too

Recently , some users reported on Google’s product forum that their Nexus 7 devices are getting lollipop update, same goes for Nexus 5 as some users are catching update on Nexus 5 too , according to the reports. Few days earlier, Google posted factory images for Nexus 7(3G) Android lollipop update on their Android Open Source Project page for Nexus devices.

As the March started, Google started the lollipop update for its Nexus devices. As the device is getting lollipop update, then there is an improvisation in the performance of device. According to the reports, there are some beneficial changes and renovation over its predecessor, Android 5.0.

During the upgrade, device got improvement in battery life as it is running on new operating system and, protection and security is also enhanced as device got a new locking system which will prevent the device from being operated in unauthorized way.

Even if the unauthorized person managed to unlock it, device will not start without the sign in of original user. Furthermore, it also boosts quality of voice calls between devices running on new OS. Apparently, this feature was designed for Smartphones and phablets not for tablets like Nexus 7.

However, google has now posted factory images, therefore update should be immediate. As we know it’s first time that search giants are announcing about their operating system update,so users should check their devices if they got any update notification or not.

The Nexus 9, Nexus 7 2013, Nexus 7 LTE, and Nexus 4 are still waiting in line for update of operating system as Google gave update confirmation about only Nexus 7 (3G).

Project Tango’s Price Cut Down To Half For Those Who Got lucky Enough To Receive Email

Google has been working on project Tango. Many of us are hopefully aware of the fact that this Tango Tablet’s project was taken up by Google’s ATAP – Advanced Technology and Projects group, a division of Motorola. Tango in simple words is a Android based smartphone which will display 3D motion of your device and create a 3D model of environment around it. As per few announcements that were made by Google previously, this device will feature 7 inch screen.

Along with 4 MP Rear camera, device will have features like – 2x Computer vision processors, integrated depth sensing, motion tracking camera. Last year in June, Google had a plan to manufacture 4,000 prototype models of the tablet and make it available to developers. Developer’s Kit is available to only those developers who have been receiving an email from Google itself. As per a report by Android Police , a reader got to see an email received by a developer and it was noted that price tag was cut down to half by the company.

Google has also mentioned in email a term – “open up sales more broadly”. This could either mean that Google may set Developer’s Kit available to all by putting it online with cut down price from $1024 to $512 or it could possibly mean that Google has decided to send more emails to developers with the newly generated price tag.

This new product by Google can be expected this year and hopefully, LG will be its Hardware partner. Google has not declared anything officially yet. Google has been rolling out Android Lollipop updates for many Android Device. Now, Cyanogen users will too be receiving updates for Android Lollipop based CM 12. Cyanogen users have been waiting for this update from quite long time and now finally Carl Pei announced that One plus users will be receiving updates in “next few days”.

Many OnePlus One users have been using CyanogenMod 11 as no OTA was rolled out by company. Official Lollipop Update was not rolled out. And now these users can expect and wait for their devices to receive OTA updates. Before installing and downloading this update make sure that instructions provided on forum are checked properly.
