Poco F1 Android 10 update now available in India

Exactly two years after confirming the Android 10 update on Poco F1, the smartphone is receiving the MIUI 11 based Android 10 update in India. After waiting for several weeks prior to the beta rollout, a limited stable update took place in January. The majority of the users didn’t receive it and are still waiting. However, now it appears the update has started rolling out to Poco F1 in India.

According to some users at MIUI community forums, the Poco F1 is receiving MIUI 11 based Android 10 build in India. The firmware version 11.0.6.0.QEJMIXM brings long-awaited Android 10. The update is currently rolling in batches and it may take few days to weeks to reach your device. Some users on social media handles are confirming the presence of Poco F1 Android 10 updates for non-beta testers.

The Poco F1 Android 10 update weighs around 1.9GB  in size. There’s a whole new set of features along with the luxuries of Android 10 like improved notifications, permissions, global dark mode, and much more. The update also packs February 2020 security patch for improved system security.

There are many new features like Optimised Game turbo mode, Always-on-Display, App Vault and much more. The update also improved File Manager, Notes and Calculator.

Poco F1 Timeline

Poco F1 was launched on MIUI 9.6 based on Android 8.1 Oreo in August 2018. The competitive pricing and high-end specification made the device grab a lot of sales. It is one of the most successful devices from Xiaomi in terms of sales.  Later, it received an upgrade to Android 9.0 Pie and now tasting Android 10. Several users rooted the device and switched to custom ROMs.

Poco F1 Features

Poco f1 comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset with an Octa-core processor and Adreno 630 GPU. There’s a 6.18-inch IPS display with 1080 x 2246 pixels resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass. A dual rear camera with 12-megapixel primary and a 5-megapixel secondary camera is present. There’s a 20-megapixel selfie camera on the front.
