The PICOPHONE F1 went for its first sale nearly a week ago, and to be honest, it’s a blockbuster sale. Garnering 68,000 sales in just 5 minutes, the device shown why it’s called the slayer of flagship killers. Anyway, Xiaomi has now pushed a new OTA update to the POCO F1 with handful of optimizations and fixes.

The update comes on the top of MIUI 9.6 bearing version number, MIUI V9.6.18.OEJMIFD. Don’t forget that the UI of POCO F1 is significantly different from the traditional MIUI although the skin is branded as the MIUI itself. The update is around 335MB in size and in deed, packs improvements and features justifying the bulkiness.

Going through the all new goodies quickly. The changelog mentions improvements to the camera. Users ought to experience a quicker camera app launch, and seems the image processing algorithm has been better optimized. Already, most of the tech reviewers have given rave reviews regarding the camera performance of the POCO despite its reasonable pricing. So, the new improvement should come as an icing on the cake.

Other noteworthy change is the addition of stock/AOSP navigation bar. As you know, Xiaomi has focused on making the new MIUI for POCO more stock-like. However, the navigation bar has been of the standard MIUI look. Now, with the update, the POCO users can choose from MIUI Navbar or the stock AOSP Navbar all according to their preference and likeliness.
