April 2017, BLU launched its new device that’s name is BLU R1 Plus. It is available in Black color variant and in two variants:
- $160 (Rs. 10,275 approx.)
- $140 (Rs. 8,991 approx.).
Design and Display
The BLU R1 Plus comes with the 5.5 inches IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display. It has a display resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels with a pixel density of 267 ppi. The dimensions measures at 153 x 76.6 x 10.5 mm (6.02 x 3.02 x 0.41 in) and a weight of 191 g (6.74 oz). The display will be protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on front touch panel, providing an extra layer of armor to protect it from cracks and scratches.
Software and Hardware
The BLU R1 Plus runs on the Android 6.0 (Marshmallow). It is powered by Mediatek MT6737 chipset and Quad-core 1.3 GHz Cortex-A53 processor. It has a support of Mali-T720 GPU. The phone has 2 GB or 3 GB of RAM. It packs a 16GB or 32GB of internal storage that can be expandable up to 64 GB via Micro-SD card.
Battery and Camera
The BLU R1 Plus is consists of Li-Po 4000 mAh capacity with the Non-removable Super battery.

- Talk time– Up to 30 h (2G) / Up to 22 h (3G)
As in camera section, it packs a 13 MP primary camera and 5 MP with LED Flash of front camera for the clear selfies and video chats. The primary camera is capable of 1080p@30fps video recording. It includes geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, panorama, HDR, phase detection auto-focus, LED flash.

Sensors on the phone included:
