November 2017, The Xiaomi has launched its new smartphone that is Redmi Y1. This device available in Gold, Dark Grey, Silver, and Rose Gold colours variants. It has a price tag of 140 EUR roughly (₹ 10,539).
Display and Design
The Redmi Y1 comes with the 5.5 inches, 106.7 cm IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display. It has a display resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels with the pixel density of 236 ppi. The dimension measures of the phone are 153 x 76.2 x 7.7 mm (6.02 x 3.00 x 0.30 in) with a weight of 153 g (5.40 oz). The display is shielded with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
Software and Hardware
The Redmi Y1 runs on the MIUI 9.0 UI based on the Android 7.0 (Nougat) OS. The phone is powered by Qualcomm MSM8940 Snapdragon 435 chipset and Octa-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A53 processor. It supports the graphics processing unit with the version of Adreno 505 which is embedded in the device.

The Redmi Y1 has a 3 GB/ 4GB of RAM. It packs a 32 GB/ 64 GB of internal memory that can be expandable up to 256 GB via Microsd card. As far as the camera is concerned, the smartphone packs a 13 MP primary camera and 16 MP front camera for shooter selfies and video chats. The primary or rear camera is capable of 1080p@30fps video recording. It includes Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR, panorama, phase detection autofocus, and LED flash.
