Sony has finally announced it’s “unknown” devices at MWC 2017 in Barcelona. Sony Xperia XZ Premium is the one out of four devices that got launched at MWC 2017. Sony has brought lot of variety in their smartphones this year.
As like of the Xperia Z5, Sony has embedded 4K display which is 40% brighter than the Z5. Sony XZ Premium is the first device to load Snapdragon 835 on its board. After various hiccups Sony managed to use the Qualcomm’s latest chip. They have installed it with 4GB of RAM for 64 GB and 6GB of RAM for 128GB.
Further, they have improved the camera by using recently launched CMOS sensor with DRAM. This new camera consists three layers, in between usual 2 layers, there’s a third layer called the memory layer. It can store some of the image content on the camera itself. It has lead to 960fps slow mo video recording. Also, it drastically improved photography in the motion.
The phone is powered with Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 and Adreno 540 GPU. It is paired with 4 GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage which can be further expandable up to 256GB via MicroSD card. It sports a 19-megapixel rear camera which supports Super slow motion 960fps video capture and it can also capture 4k video. In front there is 13-megapixel camera. It is backed up by the 3230mAh battery and it runs on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.
Sony did not reveal the pricing of the Xperia XZ Premium. The availability of the phone is also inconvenient, as the Xperia XZ Premium will be available closer to the second half of 2017.
