As per the reports from China, it is expected that Qualcomm will introduce Quick Charge 4.0 by mid of this year. Right Now, Snapdragon 835 is available but it does not come with Quick Charge 4.0.
Quick Charge 4.0 allows to charge your battery 20% faster and up to 30 percent higher efficiency compared with QC 3.0. Even, they have added a one more protection layer in this version of Quick Charge to make it much secure for the use. Also, now 5 minutes of charging allows a smartphone to work for additional 4-5 hours.
In other words, it can charge upto 50% in just 15 minutes or five hours of talktime in just five minutes. Qualcomm’s statistics is based on 2,750mAh battery, but now many new phones have more than 3000mAh capacity of the battery. So, we need to elaborate that numbers little bit.

Currently, exact date and time is not given but we expect it rollout with some new devices by the mid year 2017.
Additionally, 600 million devices supports QC2.0 and 3.0.
