Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 is the next biggie that the Qualcomm is going to launch. The rumor about the device is taking rounds and today’s report made the rumor mill to catch more fire. It is not the first time that Snapdragon 670 has been leaked but this one seems legitimate. It’s predecessor, Snapdragon 660 is built on 14nm and it has gained a lot of applause with its performance.
Let’s what we have got from a new rumors by comparing the Snapdragon 660 with 670. The Snapdragon 660 packs 14nm process while 670 is touted to bring 10nm process. The older version has 8 Kryo 260 CPU cores clocked at 2.2GHz and new one is going to get octacore configuration with 2 high power Kryo 360 cores and 6 low power cores.
The new chip will utilize ARM’s DynamIQ tech. It’s the successor to the big.LITTLE configuration. Finally, SD670 is also said to use a new 600 series Adreno GPU.
According to the leak, we can expect the Snapdragon 670 to go into mass production in Q1 2018.
