Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 debuts, built on 11 nm process and packs Spectra 200 ISP

Qualcomm has finally unveiled the next generation, Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 under the Qualcomm 600 series chipsets. The new chipset has received various new features and improvements than the predecessor. It offers improved gaming, AI, camera capabilities, new modem and much more.

Qualcomm announced Snapdragon 660 and Snapdragon 630 last year in the month of May. The Snapdragon 660 has brought a good bump in the speed over SD 660 but remains less than the Snapdragon 710.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 features

Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 carriers 4th generation Kryo CPU with new Cortex-A76 cores with the speed of upto 2GHz while the others are based on Cortex A55. Further, it carries a 3rd generation AI engine, Snapdragon X12 Modem with CAT 12 DL upto 600 Mbps. IN audio, Qualcomm has enriched it with Aqstic audio and aptX audio. It supports Qualcomm Spectre 2nd generation with 25 megapixels of single camera shooter @30 fps or double 16 megapixel shooters. OEMs can also use it with 48 megapixels camera sensor. It supports Quick Charge 4.0+ fast charging technology.

It features L1 cache of 64KB and 32KB (Gold/Silver) and L2 cache of 256KB and 64KB (Gold/Silver), as well as a shared 1MB L3 cache as seen on the more powerful Snapdragon chipsets. It supports Open GL ES 3.2, Open CL 2.0, as well as Vulkan graphics

We expect smartphones running Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 by early 2019.
