Realme 1, Realme 5s and Realme 5 starts receiving March 2020 Security Patch in India

After rolling out March 2020 security update for devices like Realme 5i, Realme X50 Pro, Realme X2 Pro, Realme 2 Pro, Realme 6 Pro and other devices, now it’s the time for Realme 1, Realme 5s and Realme 5. The Realme India team has started rolling out the OTA update across all the units in India. However, the update is rolling out in a staged manner, which means it will be made available for a few users and upon successful acceptance, the broader rollout will take place. It may take a few days to a few weeks for the update to roll out across each unit.

The new update for all three devices carries the March 2020 Security patch which enhances the overall security of the devices. It will also improve the integrity of the system software and make it proof of any security anomaly. Both the Realme 5 and 5s features general bug fixes to improve the overall performance. Apart from these fixes, the Realme 1 received a fix for VoWiFi not registring on 3G/2G networks. Moreover, Realme 1 received the firmware version CPH1861EX_11_C.48, Realme 5 and 5s get RMX1911EX_11_A.27.

These days Realme is quite concerned about the software support, they are consecutively rolling out security patches and Android 10 updates. Most of the Realme devices have either received the Realme UI based Android 10 Update. Namely, Realme X2 Pro, Realme XT, Realme 3 Pro, and few others.

The interested users can also manually flash the update by heading to the Realme Software Update center. If you have any issues just let us know via the comments below.
