[Update: December 2021 & January 2022 Security patch] Realme 5, 5i, and 5s Updates Tracker

In 2019, Realme 5 has landed officially by sporting a 6.5-inch display with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. Moreover, it is powered by an Octa-core processor based on Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 Chipset. Paired with Adreno 610 GPU. The device is available in 3/4GB of RAM and 32/64/128GB of internal storage. In terms of camera, there’s a 12-MP + 8-MP + 2-MP + 2-MP quad rear camera and a 13-MP single front-facing camera.

  • [January 25, 2022]: The Realme 5, Realme 5s, and Realme 5i are receiving a new update in the Indian market. It bears the firmware version RMX1911EX_11_C.79, RMX1925EX_11_C.79, RMX2030EX_11_C.79 respectively. The update packs the December 2021 and January 2022 Android security patches. Also, it improves system stability and fixes some known issues.
  • [November 29, 2021]: The Realme 5  series is receiving a new update in Asia that adds the new October and November 2021 security patch. The package bumps the firmware version to RMX1911EX_11_C.77, RMX1925EX_11_C.77, and RMX2030EX_11_C.77 for Realme 5, Realme 5s, and Realme 5i respectively. Besides, it resolves a few known issues and improves system stability.

  • [September 24, 2021]: Realme is pushing a new update for the Realme 5 series which includes Realme 5, Realme 5s, and Realme 5i. The new update comes with the build numbers RMX1911EX_11_C.75, RMX1925EX_11_C.75, RMX2030EX_11_C.75 for all these devices. The update brings the latest September 2021 patch for these smartphones. Apart from it, the brand has optimized the system’s performance and stability. It doesn’t bring anything apart from the above-said things. The update is currently rolling out in India. Global rollout of the update is expected soon.
  • [July 6, 2021]: Realme 5, Realme 5s, and Realme 5i smartphones are receiving a new software update globally. The latest build can be identified by firmware version RMX1911EX_11_C.71 for Realme 5 and RMX1925EX_11_C.71 for Realme 5s and RMX2030EX_11_C.71 Realme 5i users. As regular updates, this as well improves system stability and system performance. Moreover, it brings a fix for the occasional audio echoing from Facebook Messenger calls.

  • [March 28, 2021]: Realme is rolling out a new software update for the trio. The package carries February and March 2021 security patch update for enhancement in system security. The build supports Android 10 based Realme UI 1.0. It can be noticed with firmware version RMX1911EX_11_C.67 for Realme 5. Whereas the number varies to RMX1925EX_11_C.67 and RMX2030EX_11_C.67 for Realme 5s and Realme 5i respectively. Along with the latest security patch level, the update also optimizes the system performance and stability for an enhanced user experience.
  • [January 24, 2021]: Realme has started seeding out both the December 2020 and January 2021 Security patches to the Realme 5, 5i, and 5s users. The update is rolling out on the RMX1911EX_11_C.63 Firmware version for the Realme 5, RMX2030EX_11_C.63 for the Realme 5i, and the RMX1925EX_11_C.63 for the Realme 5s users. As per the changelog, apart from the security patch and bug fixes, the update doesn’t add any new features to the device. The update brings fixes for the probabilistic issue that when taking a photo, then enters the album to check the content, and the content disappears after a flash and the probabilistic issue that after renaming the recording file in the recording list, the list may appear a splash screen. The update bears the RMX1911EX_11.C.61 Firmware version and comes with the latest Security patch, new add-ons, and optimizations. The new add-ons include a toggle for displaying keyboard when entering app drawer, Sunset to Sunrise option of eye comfort, short-press the power button to turn off flashlight feature while screen-off, a toggle for physical button in screenshot setting page. It also optimizes the interactive mode for screenshot floating preview.
  • [October 26, 2020]: The Realme 5 users have started experiencing the October 2020 Security patch update on the RMX1911EX_11_C.59 Firmware version. In availability, as the update is rolling out in a phased manner, it usually takes a couple of days to reach all the units.
