Realme is well-positioned in the lower mid-range and mid-range smartphone segment in India. The company further wants to strengthen its user base by launching budget-focused devices every now and then. A recent report by OnPhones indicates that Realme will launch Realme 6s as Realme 6i in India by next week.
In terms of specifications, the Realme 6i is powered by MediaTek Helio G90T processor and comes with 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage (expandable via microSD card slot). The smartphone sports a 6.50-inch FHD+ 90Hz ultra-smooth display and houses quad camera set up at the rear (48MP main camera + 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens + 2MP monochrome sensor and 2MP macro lens) and a 16MP selfie camera. The smartphone draws its power from a hefty 4,300mAh cell that supports 30W fast charging.
Realme 6i will be available in two color variants– Eclipse Black and Lunar White and runs on Relame UI based on Android 10. Realme 6s was launched in China in May 2020 with a price tag of EUR 199 that roughly translates to INR 16,500. You should expect the smartphone to be priced aggressively considering the strong anti-China sentiment in the country.
