Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro terminated Android 8.1 Update due to some issues

Recently Xiaomi has rolled out a new update for their Redmi Note 5 Pro handsets. The update is yet to be made available to all units and even before that Xiaomi has suspended it. In case you don’t know as per the latest information from Xiaomi, the update for Redmi Note 5 Pro has been temporarily suspended. The brand has taken this step as the update was creating problems to the devices, for more in-depth information do check out the whole story.

The new update was based on the fresh Android 8.1 Oreo and comes with the MIUI 9 version 9.5.6. The update was rolled out to a few devices and after installing the users have complained that some of their device’s features are not working. Specifically, the Portrait Mode and LTE functionality were unable to work and to fix those issues Xiaomi is working for now. To find a solution Xiaomi has finally stopped the OTA rollout process.

Well coming back, you need to install MIUI manually, Xiaomi offers link though there website but for now, the device has been unlisted from the download section. Now, most of you might be wondering that what new features the update will bring to the device? Similar to the iPhone X’s gesture support the update brings similar gestures to the Note 5 Pro device. Other features of the update were yet to be tested but because of above-mentioned issues, the update has been terminated. Soon Xiaomi will make it available to the Redmi Note 5 Pro as the bugs will get fixed.
