In the past Google had been opening the registration page for the Google I/O meet for public and provided with the tickets at first come first serve basis. And it always resulted in server crash and a mess in the end.
But this time Google has a different approach altogether. We are not sure whether this time it would be better or not, but yes a different procedure for sure. Google will be opening the page for registrations on April 8 at 5AM and it would be up till April 10 5PM. But this time users need not hurry as this time Google will be picking up random users from those who have registered.
And if you’re selected Google will be inviting you to purchase the ticket which would cost $900 for regular users and $300 for academic users full time students, professors, faculty staff etc. This time Google would be focusing more on Android wearables like the Moto 360 and also new version of Android is expected. However the true picture will only be clear once the event takes place. The event will be held on June 25 and 26.
