Yesterday, Vivo announced a new device in its V series lineup. The new device Vivo V5s is an upgraded version of the Vivo V5 and its other variants. Vivo has crafted its selfie camera with a dual camera set-up and has named it as the ‘Moonlight’ glow selfie camera.

This is not for the first time that Vivo has emphasized on the front camera, they did same to almost all the Vivo V series. They have incorporated  1.5GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6750 SoC coupled with 4GB of RAM. Further the phone packs a 5.5 inch HD display giving the resolution of (1280*720). It is running on FunTouch OS 3.0 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

Vivo is expanding its business model in such a fast pace that it has got outstanding sales in last couple of months. Even it has throttled the business of Xiaomi upto some extent. The main pro of Vivo is that it is available from the local retail stores also.

Talking about the Vivo V5s, today, we are going to take a review of the Vivo V5s. We will evaluate how it works, how it looks, how it feels and the performance details will be given below. Starting with.

Design:

Vivo V5s is designed with Metal clad design which gives it a premium look. Due to metallic design it is little slippery from the back and the sides when you hold it in hand.

On the front side of the device, there’s selfie camera of 20MP with a front flash and sensors. There’s One Plus 3 or 3T like fingerprint sensor on the front.

On the back it has similar design to Vivo V5 with camera and flash module paired together on the top left corner of the device.

On the Bottom, there’s a microUSB port with speaker grill and 3.5 mm headphone jack.

The volume and power buttons are placed on the right edge. The SIM tray is placed on the left edge.

Overall, if we say then it hosts a good design with little need of improvement. The Vivo also needs to follow low body to display ration rule as like of LG G6 and Galaxy S8. For this price the design is perfect and has its usability in countries like India.

The quick toggles and settings at the bottom rather than the top. The overall UI experience is smooth and you won’t feel a lag while using it in any condition.

Camera:

The smartphone features a 13-megapixel camera dual-LED flash. On the front Vivo has done a lot of work as they have embedded a huge 20 Megapixel Sensor with front LED flash. The quality and performance of the both the cameras are the same as on the V5. It has got improved camera app with new filters and settings.

They have provided a really good camera app for the selfies and have even named it as  “Moonlight “ selfie camera app. It also have a soft LED flash on the front side.
