Russian Antitrust body fines Google $6.8 Million over Android on Violating the Antitrust rules. Russian Antitrust Body officials says that Google had abused its market position with Android, its mobile operating system, by favoring some of its digital services over those of rivals, including the Russian company Yandex.

Although Google is not the major player in Russia but still this is a big problem for company because antitrust regulators around the globe become very active and put the company in the firing line.As European Commission also charges the company with abuse of its dominant position for similar reasons.
“We have received notice of the fine from F.A.S. and will analyze closely before deciding our next steps,” Google said in a statement on Thursday.
Google has denied on these charges of breaking Russian competition rules. Company Says that they are appealing the Android case in Russia. In which Yandex the Russian search engine complained about the services in Android were being treated unfairly.
