It’s long rumored regarding an Android GO smartphone from the house of Samsung is incoming. Perhaps, previous rumors and leaks suggested it to be monikered as Galaxy J2 Core. Proving all those correct, Samsung has today announced its first Android GO product, the Galaxy J2 Core.
Just like what we’ve to expect from a typical AndroidGO smartphone, the Galaxy J2 Core too comes with mediocre level of hardware specs. However, the South-Korean giant is literally adamant about the capability of the device despite its low specs. As such, Samsung claims it to deliver more storage, faster performance and longer battery life.

Galaxy J2 Core Features and Specs: Comes with Samsung UX On Top
The top-players such as Nokia and even many other local firms have already come with their AndroidGO device. But, one thing that makes the Galaxy J2 Core different from the others is the custom Samsung Experience skin layered on the top of AndroidGO OS. As you know, all the other AndroidGO devices runs pure AndroidGO 8.1 edition with few or no customization.
Giving a quick overview of its internals. The Galaxy J2 Core features a 5-inch quadHD display with a resolution of 540 x 960, the Galaxy J2 Core. In terms of optics, at rear it packs an 8MP camera while a 5MP camera sits in the front. Both cameras have an F/2.2 aperture for improved wide-angle photography, and features such as Beauty Mode are included for users to take better portraits and selfies.
In software front, it runs AndroidGO 8.1 Oreo edition with Samsung Experience on top of it. The software has other Samsung typical features such as Ultra Data Saving mode, S-Bike and so on.
Availability And Pricing
The Galaxy J2 Core is specially meant for developing nation with the budget pricing. It will be available in India and Malaysia starting from today. As per Samsung, the device will be in deed slowly hitting other markets as well later in coming days.
Unfortunately, the pricing is yet to be announced. Nevertheless, we expect it to be priced below INR. 7,000 in India.
