Samsung Galaxy A5 2016 starts receiving December Security Patch

It’s a surprise for us, as Galaxy A5 2016 starts receiving December Android Security Patch. However, Google has just released the December patch few hours ago. The update is currently rolling out in Europe with the firmware version A510FXXU4CQL1.

The Update weighs around 197 MB in size, it includes December security patch along with some other fixes. In this patch there are a total of 10 vulnerabilities affecting Samsung devices that have been fixed. The update also includes the fixes for Wifi not connecting. There are some more bug fixes in this update, which will be clear when full changelog of the update is available.

It’s worth telling you that Galaxy A5 2016 is the first device to get the December security patch. However, Flagship device like Galaxy S8 , S8+ and Note 8 are still on November Security Patch. Moreover, Earlier today Google releases the December Patch, And says there will be two patch levels for this month: 12-1 and 12-5.

The Update is rolling out in Europe over the air. If it does not appear on your phone right away don’t panic. The update will reach you in next couple of days. Meanwhile you can always check it by going through the settings>>about phone>> software updates.
