The Galaxy Alpha from Samsung has been in news for month now, and its metal build could very well be the reason for that. It is the first one from Samsung to be cast in metal and has thus created quite a lot of buzz. That could be the reason for the numerous leaks the device had has in the past and today, we have another one. The device gets pictured again, this time against Apple’s current flagship the iPhone 5s.
Though there is no official news about the Galaxy Alpha’s dimensions, it is very clear from the photos below that the Galaxy Alpha is slimmer than the iPhone 5s.
On the bottom of the device can be found the speakers along with a microUSB port and the microphone.
The Galaxy Alpha will sport a 4.7″ superAMOLED display with upto 720 p resolution and a 12 MP rear snapper with LED flash. Under the hood lies an Exynos 5 octa chipset. You also get 32 GB of internal storage memory which will cause you the absence of a microSD card slot. The powerhouse is a 1,850 mAh unit which is user removable. The device will be running on Android 4.4.4 Kitkat.
There’s still confusion about when will Samsung unveil its metal-clad smatphone. If rumors are to be believed the Galaxy Alpha could be launched as early as next week but we’ve also been hearing about a September 13th launch date. When will Samsung finally unveil it? We’ll find out soon. Till then, stay tuned.
