Samsung Galaxy devices to get Android 8.0 Oreo according to a new leak

During the period of Android Nougat roll-out, it’s the Samsung Turkey support page that provided us with a clear-cut idea of Nougat eligible Samsung devices. Similarly, a new leaked list from a reliable tipster is now surfacing online that supposedly enlists all Samsung devices planned for getting the hot-baked Android Oreo. Surprisingly, it even includes 2015 flagships Galaxy S6, Note 5 and J7(2016). Have a look at the list below.

As you can see, the list comprises of eligible devices across all Samsung series. Apparently, Galaxy A-Series has got a greater number of Oreo eligible devices. Whereas the On-Series has got only just one and that is the Galaxy On Max. Samsung is also has a big plan to update a bunch of its tablets to the latest OS too.

It seems, Samsung is now serious in terms of providing major update for its devices. Since, if the list proved to be a reality, then the Galaxy S6/S6 Edge and Note 5 will be getting their third major upgrade. Also, it marks the second major upgrade for the budget-level devices such as J7 Prime and J7(2016). Literally, a quite astonishing software support from the South Korean giant for its high-end, mid-range as well as the low-end devices.

Since the above list was sourced from a Chinese blog ‘weibo’ and is unofficial, the legitimacy of the data is uncertain. However, looking at the all devices that managed to hold a place in the tablature, it seems to be sensible. Nevertheless, chances of some devices getting removed or new devices getting added to the list during the Oreo roll-out period is also not completely ignored. Hence, we’ll be updating you with the latest changes on the list, if any. For that, stay tuned with us.
