When Samsung first announced its plans to release the first foldable smartphone, it became a grist for the gossip mill in the mobile tech industry. Just a couple of months ago, Samsung finally unveiled the Galaxy Fold smartphone attracting a lot of attention. However, it later turned out to be a huge setback for the company when the review units were plagued by flickering display issues and breakage. This forced Samsung to call off the faulty devices and cancel all pre-orders to resolve the wide-ranging issues. Samsung stated that the Galaxy Fold devices will be reviewed and revamped to be released at a future date, however, the company did not provide a timeline.
It seems the wait is finally over as a Samsung executive has recently revealed that the Galaxy Fold might release sometime in July. We also expect the device to be launched soon, however, there is no official confirmation from Samsung yet. It is highly speculated that Samsung will be hosting a press conference soon where it could announce the official launch date.
According to reports, Samsung has been working on improving design and ergonomics of the Galaxy Fold. Samsung wants no stone unturned to provide a sturdy and more protective design language to $1980 flagship device. We’re very excited to get our hands on the revamped Galaxy Fold and anticipate Samsung to bring the device back to shelves.
