Samsung is one of the top Android OEMs and the only one capable of competing with Apple on basis of sales as well as profits. The Korean giant offers smartphones at every price range unlike Apple. The company is gearing up to launch their next flagship – Galaxy S9 which has leaked several times. But before that they will be launching their cheapest offering – Galaxy J2 2018 which has been now leaked.
The Samsung Galaxy J2 2018 will bear the model number SM-J250. The body of the phone is made up of plastic like any other J2 phones before. But, what has changed is the processor that powers it. The device now comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor coupled with 1.5 GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. However, the storage can be further expanded via microSD card.
On the front, the device will sport a 5 inch QHD (540 x 960) Super AMOLED display along with a 5 MP camera accompanied by flash. Whereas the back camera is a 8MP sensor. Further, the phone runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat which probably will not be updated to Oreo too. Finally, the whole package is backed by a smaller 2,600 mAH battery.
The Samsung Galaxy J2 2018 will be announced in coming weeks and will retail for 8,000 rubles in Germany.
