Samsung launched the Samsung Galaxy J7, its midrange smartphone last April. The device came with Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 out of the box and has not yet received any major Android update yet. But Samsung has recently pushed out a small firmware update to the devices in India.

The update is of 135MB in size with the firmware version of J710FXXU3AQF6 and has brought in a few little but significant changes to the device.

The most noticeable change is the added support for Samsung Pay mini which is apparently the lite version of Samsung Pay. It is the Samsung’s very own mobile payments service which uses NFC and wireless connectivity for making payments.

The update is also said to fix some bugs and have improved the overall stability of the Samsung Galaxy J7. You may soon get this update along with the Android security patches for June for your device in the form of OTA.

So keep an eye out for the update and make sure that you check for it in the system updates section under About phone in your settings app. Let us know in the comments below if you have received the update yet?
