Samsung Galaxy M40 goes official in India for INR.19,990

Samsung has today launched its brand new M-Series device in the form of Galaxy M40. The Galaxy M40 marks the fourth device to be launched under the budget Series succeeding the Galaxy M30. Flaunting the versatile Infinity-O display, the device is all set to attract the millions of millenials in India. Samsung India has priced the device at INR. 19, 990 which is kinda “ok” for the specs it offers.samsung galaxy m40 goes official in india for inr.19,990

There is nothing much new to mention about the M40 as leaks and slew of official teasers have already spilled the important details of the device earlier. As expected, the Galaxy M40 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 Mobile Platform. Perhaps, this makes the M40 as the first M-Series to come with a Snapdragon SoC.

Of course, the pièce de résistance of the device is its beautiful 6.3 inch Infinity-O display. Don’t expect an AMOLED since it’s exclusive for the flagships. That said, the display is of LCD similar to the one seen on the China exclusive Galaxy A8s. Perhaps, the Galaxy M40 is a global avatar of the Galaxy A8s.

Stepping to other specs of importance, starting with the camera, the Galaxy M40 possess a triple rear camera setup. The main sensor is of 32MP, f/1.7 in resolution. It’s accompanied by a depth sensor (5MP) and an ultra-wide sensor of 8MP. Samsung claims of the setup to provide brilliant low-light photos and excellent portrait shots bolstered by Samsung’s “Scene Optimizer”.

Samsung has packed a mediocre 3,500mAH battery inside the M40. It’s a downgrade when compared to the humongous 5,000,mAH battery on M20 and M30. Nonetheless, the 11nm chipset should be efficient enough to keep the lights on for an entire day. Obvious enough, the battery supports Samsung’s typical 15W fast charging via Type-C port.

The Galaxy M40 will go on sale for the first time on 18th June. Amazon and Samsung Shop are the two online market from where you could purchase the device for the price of INR. 19,900.
