Being an official partner of Olympic Games for more than a decade. Samsung used to craft special edition of its flagship particularly for the multi-sporting event. The last one was an Olympic Edition Galaxy S7 Edge. It was distributed on the occasion of Rio 2016 Olympics for every officials associated with the games. The South-Korean vendor is not deviated from its routine as the brand new Olympic Edition Galaxy Note 8 is here to welcome the Winter Olympics 2018.
These special edition of Samsung’s flagships were uniquely embelled compared to the standard models. Similarly, the makeover done to the latest Winter Olympics Edition Galaxy Note 8 is a feast for the eyes. Point to be noted here is, the limited edition Galaxy Note 8 possess the same hardware specs to that of the commercial models, and the difference lying only in the appearance.
The “Olympian Galaxy Note8” has a lustrous white colored glass back on which gold Olympic rings logo is carved. The makeover even penetrates into the S Pen and frame of the device. To “celebrate the winter theme,” is what Samsung clarifies for its decision to paint the device in White color.
Since the venue of this year’s Winter Olympic is in PyeongChang city of Samsung’s home country. These units also come pre-loaded with PyeongChang 2018 themed wallpapers along with some useful apps to aid the participants. Anyway, it’s highly unlikely that Samsung will commercialize this edition for common mobs.
