Samsung is rolling out new firmware version for the galaxy Note Edge. The new update brings in the June security patch along with other general fixes. Currently the model number SM-N915T with T-Mobile in US is getting the update. We soon it will start hitting the users as an Over The Air update.
Samsung Galaxy Note Edge update is based on Android 6.0.1 with firmware version N915TUBS2DQF2. This new version packs several bug fixes and performance tweaks.
The new update has bring in many new changes and fixes, but it majorly packs security enhancements. Currently, the update is out for manual flashing and it will take time for OTA to reach you guys. As said earlier, The build is out yet and you can also manually flash it but it is a risky thing to do.
Samsung didn’t revealed any official changelog for the update as mostly it carries security fixes by Google. Google always brings in fixes for the security flaws that have been discovered by the community members and other developers. Google every month tries to eliminate security fixes in a bid to make Android much more reliable and secure.
We think this is a great effort by Google to make our most loving OS secure every month.
We suggest users to switch to WiFi network to download the update. It will save some additional costs as the update would be of around 100-200 MB. Also, charge up your device before proceeding forth.
