Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge starts receiving June Security Patch

Samsung is rolling out Android Security Patch for the month of June 2017 on its Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. The update comes with the software build number G920FXXS5EQF9 on Galaxy S6 and G925FXXS5EQF9 for Galaxy S6 Edge.

Along with the latest security patch, the update also brings system enhancements and regular bug fixes for performance improvements. Recently Samsung has rolled out June Security and  Maintenance Release on its Galaxy J7, J2 and J1 as we reported earlier.

As the update is rolling out over the air. So it might take some time to reach each and every users in the country. However, if you’re feeling impatient you can check the update manually by going through the settings>>about phone>>software updates.

As a reminder, do charge your device up to 60% before upgrading it. Also, switch to WiFi network if you want to save some carrier data. These updates can be huge depending on the nature of the update.
