Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ gets November security patch and more

Samsung has started rolling out November security patch to both the Galaxy S8 and S8+. As the flagship devices, these have always remained on the top list to get the updates from Samsung. Recently, Galaxy S8 duo received the Android Oreo beta update and others are soon to get the latest Android. More details about the Galaxy S8 november security update has been listed below.

Apart from the Oreo update, they have been continuously getting the monthly security patches. This month also, Samsung has started to rollout the November security patch with major fixes for security loopholes. It packs all the fixes for security loopholes which has been addressed last month by Google developer’s team. In total, there are 61 Android vulnerabilities that have been addressed and six exploits on Samsung’s software.

Majorly, the November Security patch has brought in many fixes but main is the WiFi-KRACK vulnerability. Apart form the security features, Samsung has also added fix for Bluetooth connectivity.

Galaxy S8 November security update technical patch details:

Both the devices are getting huge update of around 550 MB in the Netherlands. The latest update is bringing the latest firmware version G950FXXU1AQK7 and G955FXXXU1AQK7 for both the galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ respectively.

The udapt eis on the roll and it will take some time to reach you guys. So, you need not to worry if you have not received the update yet. You can wait for some days without  worrying. We suggest you to switch to the WiFi networks before proceeding for the update to save few bucks on carrier data.

You can check the update manually by heading over to the Settings menu. You can move to the About menu of your device to check the update manually.
