Finally Samsung starts rolling out Android security patch for the month of october to its flagships. Namely, Samsung Galaxy S8, S8 Plus and along with both the flagships Galaxy J7 Pro is also getting the update.
The new update. Firmware versions G950FXXU1AQI9 and G955FXXU1AQI9 on Galaxy S8 and S8 plus respectively. The update which is rolling out on Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus is around 430 MB in size. The main highlight of the update is Android security patch for the month of October. Which fixes 215 vulnerabilities in the Android operating system. It also brings fixes for six vulnerabilities that Samsung found in its own software.
The update is also packed with some other changes which includes stability-related, and are for the launcher and DeX mode. Currently the update is rolling out in some countries of Europe. The update will be rolled out in all markets of the world in 2-3 days.
Coming to Galaxy J7 pro is also getting Android security patch for October. The update come with the J730GMUBU2AQJ2 and it is currently rolling out in Mexico. The update will be rolled out in other markets within few weeks.
