Samsung OneUI updated Roadmap, Galaxy J2 (2018) up for Android Pie treat

Samsung has been always criticized for its slow update regime and poor support for the budget devices. However, we must agree that the Korean giant has improved a lot over the past few years. The quick roll-out of the Android Pie update for the Galaxy S9/S9+ also consolidate the fact. Similarly, a new updated roadmap of the Samsung OneUI roll-out has been published on Samsung Members app revealing Samsung’s rich plan of updating its devices as much as possible.samsung oneui updated roadmap, galaxy j2 (2018) up for android pie treat

If we compare with the previous roadmap, it seems Samsung has re-scheduled the update by a month earlier for the Galaxy Note9 and 2017 flagships. Well this was earlier revealed by the Guncelmiyiz division of Samsung Turkey website. Apparantly, it’s evident that Samsung is picking up the correct pace of roll-out.

Galaxy J2 (2018) – Direct promotion to Android Pie?

Interestingly, the updated roadmap includes a new entrant that no one would have ever thought, the Galaxy J2 2018. For your info, the budget device from Samsung comes with Android Nougat 7.1.1 and possess low-tier specs. It hasn’t even received the Android Oreo update till now and that made us to think Samsung might give the device direct promotion to Android Pie.

As per the roadmap, the Galaxy J2 (2018) should get the Android Pie treat around April next year. That said, is it the reflection of changes in support policy of Samsung? Only the company knows. Nonetheless, it’s always welcoming to see even dirt cheap devices getting major updates. What you guys have to say about the roadmap, hit the comment section.
