Samsung has today announced the launch of its revolutionary payment solution, the Samsung Pay in Italy. With that, the service is now available on a total of 21 countries all around the globe. As a promo-offer, customers in Italy can avail discounts of up to 20 percent on some select popular brands.
Just for info, the Samsung Pay had bagged the “Best Mobile Innovation for Payment” award at MWC 2018. The most widely accepted payment service by the Korean-Giant is a step ahead of the competition. Thanks to the NFC+MST technologies that aid the service to be accessible on almost any POS outlets. The MST(Magnetic Secure Transmission) technology is a Samsung patented innovation that other polular payment services such as Google Pay and Apple Pay lacks.
For utilising the full potential of Samsung Pay, one need to have a Samsung Pay supported device. Currently, Galaxy S9/S9+, Galaxy S8/S8+, Galaxy S7/S7 Edge, Galaxy Note 8, Galaxy A8, Galaxy A5 (2017) and (2016) as well as the Gear S3 and Gear Sport are Samsung Pay compatible in Italy.
Samsung hasn’t revealed the financial institutions in Italy that are currently partnered with the service. However, we expect the South-Korean giant to publish the list of banks that support the payment service in coming days.
