Latestly, Samsung has pushed the July Security update to Galaxy J7 2017 model along with Galaxy J5 same year model. Samsung is not even leaving behind the low level spec device i.e J1 Mini Prime as company is also rolling out the July patch for it.

The new update has bring in many new changes and fixes, but it majorly packs security enhancements. Currently, the update is rolling out to all the variants of the above mentioned devices irrespective of any country. The build is out yet and you can also manually flash it but it is a risky thing to do.

Currently, Samsung Galaxy J7 2017 is receiving the build J730FXXU1AQG1 with new security patch. Further, Samsung Galaxy J5 2017 is tasting the build number J530FXWU1AQF5. The last but not the least is galaxy J1 Mini Prime which is also getting the latest patch as a build number J106BUBU0AQG1.

Samsung didn’t revealed any official changelog for the update as mostly it carries security fixes by Google. The search giant always cooks fixes for the bugs or security bugs that are reported by its community members or have been revealed by its original resources. Google every month tries to eliminate security fixes in a bid to make Android much more reliable and secure.

We suggest you to wait for the official OTA update as it is safe. If you didn’t received the update, you can do so by going to the Settings >> About >> Check for updates. You can also switch to the WiFi network so that you can save some bucks from carrier networks.
