Samsung Galaxy Note 8 starts getting Android security patch for the month of July 2019. The update is currently rolling on two North American carriers i.e. Verizon and Xfinity Mobile Networks. The update comes with the firmware version N950USQS6DSG4.
The update doesn’t include any new feature other than the latest security fixes. We don’t have changelog of the update right now. So we have to wait for it to see whether the phone got the new QR code scanner for the camera app has made the cut. If you didn’t get it till now, then you can manually check if the update is available for your device over the air. Open the Settings of your phone and tap on the Software Update, and then select Download and install. Updates are released in stages, so it might get some time to reach each and every user out there.
